New tracks to put in your stacks! Whatever that means.

The title might not make much sense, but it does not lie. I do not lie in my titles. Unless you count non sensicle-ness as lying.

But yes! There is more music from Fuzz to share with the general populous! Collective cheer!

This song was a lot of fun to write! It starts in 3/4 time, changing to 2/4, entering 5/4, then has some 6/4s thrown in there before straight-lining it to the finish. The music was more so the forefront of this track, so the lyrics were more an afterthought. I felt though, the extended guitar/bass/drum play in the middle was a bit akin to traveling through life unabatedly and almost routinely, so in the end I wanted the words to reflect this, and also reflect on I guess the second stage of the song (after the second lyrics come in) where it all changes and becomes a bit more boppy and moving, signaling the change in the person's life.

The track also features real guitar! Bonanza!

Light Fades (and Dreams a Dream)
Download (for frees!): http://www.mediafire.com/?wmywjgcytxm

This track has technically already been released, but in its short life has already been remastered! It now sounds even better, with better quality everything.

Light Fades started off as an idea to have a 2 part song that was very juxtaposed. On the one hand, you have the sweet, pretty, elongated 'Light Fades', representing a, well, fading light. on the other, you have this explosion of sound in 'Dreams a Dream', so you can quiackly pick up on where the whole song has been and goes.

These two tracks have been completed over the past 2 weeks with mixing and producing and generally lovely help from Dominic Banfield. The both pretty much encapsulate the beginning of my music artistry, quite a bit simpler than I would like, but contain enough complexity and ideas that they sound pretty OK.

The other 5 tracks that will appear on the opening EP have been written, 2 of which are being set up to be mixed, the other (Cybele, go figure) is still going through quality control...11 and a half minutes is a lot to go through ok??

Keep up to date with Fuzz with Facebook! There you can become a fan, listen to some tunes, talk to strangers, reminisce about things, drink your sorrows away...you know, usual ordeal.

New track, words, updates, shennigans, 2:30AM.

Fuzz has a musical gift for all who shall read!

Mp3 link via Mediafire: Of a Sullen Mood

The track, for those who wait patiently for the download to finish and listen, is called 'Of a Sullen Mood'. The track was written deliberately in a minor key, without percussion and was intended to be a full instrumental.

The track itself was planned to be a short lead into the 11.5 minute EP ending 'Cybele', but as I wrote and re-wrote the song it started to come more alive and interesting, and thus ballooned out to 5 minutes 30. Still the shortest track so far, but...yeah. To make matters worse, the original track title was '(short) break from proceedings'. As the song evolved though it changed. Like a pokemon but it says a lot more.

Future! FUTURE!!

OK OK! With help from my music friend Dom we are currenly mixing a track, and will continue to be mixing in the future. There is still one track to be written for the EP, and Cybele will need re-writing in areas.

The EP should have 5 songs on it, and will hopefully be done before February's end!

In the meantime, let us listen to this wonderful piece of tunes:

Music to hear, music to share...finally

Here's some music for you to judge me on:

Light Fades (and Dreams a Dream)

Do not be alarmed, your computer has not frozen. The first note goes for a while is all.

Cybele (unfinished (actually))

Link to mp3: Fuzz - Cybele (unfinished)

I can't do a youtube video for this (as I found out) because the song, even in its uncompleteness, goes for 11 and a half minutes, which is over the 10 minute Youtube amount of 10. Ho hum!

This has yet to be completed, it needs some tinkering and I might change up some things, but it's a hefty piece of work! Literally.

Thoughts? Opinions? Questions? Onions?

If you actually have any serious questions, give us a holler on Facebook, or email me! I like emails.

A bit of self pampering (works situations)

If you are hear looking for music, rest assured you can still be disappointed.

But seeing as though all my in-real-life friends have been somewhat teased by my musical progress without ever really getting a full idea of what the heck is going exactly, I figured it would only be fair to give a sort of overview of what I have done so far and what people might expect in the next couple o' weeks. Phew!

Right now, I have 4 songs written, an idea for a 5th, but none that are upload-able worthy. With most songs I plant o feature with my own vocals, but it's friggin' hard to find a time where everything is quiet in the house (i.e. no one home) and outside the house (i.e. understandably ignorant neighbours). Also, my recording device is an mp3 player. Ho hum! Troubles indeed!

Songs thus far:
Cybele: A 11 minute 30 second Mono inspired string+rock epic that was originally a 4 minute 3 clarinet part song. I have somehow managed this. Coming along well!

Song 2 (also as so far untitled): 5ish minutes, a bit stereotypical and uninspiring but includes a catastrophic meteor shower. Take that as you will.

Light fades (and dreams a dream): 7 minute bi-polar piece that changes half way through from calming and pretty to 'I-wish-my-arms-would-fall-off-to-save-myself-from-hitting-these-damn-keys'. Those who know know what I mean.

A segment from someone's history: Multi-time signatures!! Also more rocky.

Dreamdancer: I think this one has 8 bars written thus far? Includes a Rhodes piano! Whoahs!

What's the plan Fuzz? I hear you possibly ask. I'll probably upload some non-vocal tracks if vocal recording don't work out like I want it to so dearly...do?

....

Anyway, look out for them! Eventually.

Welcome, man/woman.

Hello. Please have a seat. What? No no, standing is fine, but if you feel uncomfortable there are plenty of seats available.

Who am I? I am Adam Falconer a.k.a Fuzz. I would call it my stage name but I don't have stage nor have I ever performed on stage. Nonetheless, that is my artist name. What am I an artist in? Music.

Yes yes, I hear your moans. Another amateur musician on the internet utilising the various software(s) that this day and age presents people like me. 'You must want to be a grand musician! You must lust for glory and fame!', you may say. Not really. I have listened to music for a while, various styles, and wanted to make my own; and I wanted to share it.

So yes, I am another amateur musician posting his works on the internet. The least I can do is to hope you enjoy whatever it is you may hear on this blog.

Which will hopefully be soon.
